  • People and Tribes from Al-Dhlail call on the Parliament to complete its political and legislative role in supporting the Jordanian stance and supporting Palestine.
  •  MP Al Khalaileh: The Members of the Parliament were not given an opportunity to express their stances and reflect the pulse of the street, and the performance of the parliament is deemed weak when compared to that of previous parliaments.
  •  Al Rantawi: The internal front is cohesive, and attention should not be given to any doubter in this regard. The Jordanian stance is advanced and in line with the details of the events.
  •  Abu Najm: The present time requires raising awareness and mobilizing public opinion, as well as informing it about all the details related to the Palestinian situation and its developments.

With the participation of over 70 members from the Abu Najm Tribe, as well as activists and influential figures from Al Dhlail, the Al Quds Center for Political Studies along with the Abu Najm Diwan, organized a political gathering titled 'Jordan and Palestine: Unity of Path and Destiny.' The event featured speeches by Dr. Ahmed Al-Khalaileh, a Member of Parliament, and Mr. Oraib Al-Rantawi, the Director of the Al Quds Center for Political Studies.

In his intervention, MP Al-Khalaileh addressed the importance and timing of the gathering, explaining and highlighting the effects and impacts of the “Al-Aqsa Flood Operation” on the Palestinian issue and the region, particularly Jordan. He pointed out the historical relationship between Jordan and Palestine since before the establishment of the Emirate, emphasizing that events throughout history, including contemporary political developments, have indicated the extent of mutual economic, social, and political influence and impact.

Regarding the Jordanian stance, Al Khalaileh highlighted its advancement compared to other stances. He emphasized the necessity of reconsidering signed agreements and approaches of dealing with the Israeli side. In a related context, Al-Khalaileh affirmed that the parliamentary stance and the performance of the Parliament did not meet the expected level. He attributed this to the individualistic nature of the Parliament's performance and stressed the importance of transitioning to collective work within the Parliament. He pointed out the significance of political reform, the selection of candidates, and prioritizing legislative and political roles over service-oriented roles. Al Khalaileh further added that the mechanisms of the Parliament's work were limited to communication with Arab, regional, and international parliamentary unions, as well as committees for brotherhood and parliamentary friendship. The aim was to rally positions in support of Gaza and advocate for an end to the aggression.
Al-Khalaileh concluded his remarks by emphasizing the necessity of enhancing the role of the Parliament and providing space for representatives to express their positions. He urged a focus on collective efforts and a distancing from individualism to develop the role of the Parliament.

On his part, Al Rantawi exposed the situation of the Palestinian issue before the Al-Aqsa Flood, its stagnation, and marginalization on the regional and international levels, along with the increasing settlements, violations, confiscation, temporal division, and attempts at spatial division of Al-Aqsa. He stressed that the aftermath of the Al-Aqsa Flood operation revealed heroism and resilience, foreseeing a stronger generation in confronting the occupation. Al Rantawi affirmed that scenes of bombardment and destruction are accompanied by images of heroism, steadfastness, and resistance.

Concerning the Jordanian stance, Al-Rantawi observed its progression and evolution in responding to events. He emphasized the rejection of separating the fate of the Gaza Strip from the West Bank, consistently pointing out the necessity to eliminate double standards in the international community's approach to the Palestinian issue. Al-Rantawi also underscored the significance of the internal front, stressing its cohesion and advising against any doubt in its unity while ignoring any questioning on this matter.

In their interventions, participants focused on the necessity of fostering the role of the Parliament, considering it to be declining compared to the performance of other parliaments at the Arab and international levels. They called on the representatives to increase their activity and appearances to clarify the roles and stances of the Parliament in supporting the Jordanian position and the Palestinian cause. Participants also raised questions regarding the future of the region in light of the developments following the Al-Aqsa Flood. They emphasized the necessity of revising the agreements signed with Israel and establishing an economic reform strategy that would uplift the Jordanian economy without relying on Israel in vital sectors.

The gathering was commenced and moderated by the Member of the Zarqa Governorate Council, Dr. Mohammed Abu Najm. In his opening remarks, he welcomed the attendees, emphasizing the sensitivity of the current phase. Dr. Abu Najm stressed the necessity of engaging with the public and clarifying the developments in the region, emphasizing that the Question of Palestine is the Question of Jordan. Furthermore, he underscored the significance of continuing to exert pressure and reinforcing the Jordanian position to convey the voice of public opinion and accurately portray the situation to the world on all levels
